Visits to Wineries … Morocco and Tunisia
WT recently paid visits to the biggest wineries in in Morocco (Celliers de Meknes) and Tunisia (UCCV). I will be reporting on findings there mostly in pics and quotes in the coming days as I head to non-wine Senegal.

Morocco Red
Cuvee du President is a good wine from Morocco. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Merlot, Temprenillo, it has intense ruby color. WT had the pleasure of drinking some of it today in Sidi Yossef, Marrakech … in a barber shop. It was a good setting for the wine, though not perfect. It deserves a better atmosphere for full enjoyment. The Cuvee du President has a full and rich taste, with the right amount of acidity and tannins. The barber loves … I pointed out the literal meaning of the name of the wine. We all laughed and poured another round for all in the shop.
